This is the first year I have put ANY effort into planning Lent. I admit to being a pretty LAZY Catholic when it comes to liturgical planning. This year, as part of my resolutions for the year, I committed to taking the time to bring the Church's tradition into our home.
We, Max and I, made a crown of thorns form this recipe. It is displayed on the mantle in the family room so when the kids make a sacrifice for Jesus, they can ease His suffering. I also made the "Lamb of God" lenten count down for ALL the kids. Each day as we progress through Lent, the kids mark off the days by adding a cotton ball on the correct number. After 40 days, the lamb will have all its "wool", and we will be ready for EASTER!! I found this template here, but I just drew my own b/c my printer is low on ink. Let me say, it truly tested my artistic ability! I hope you all have a fruitful, and Christ-centered Lent!
