just kidding...

so after having a good friend also turn around and look out for I have found that " Sweet Surrender" has been taken but quite a few people. Unfortunately, that means that I have to come up with something else for a name for my new shop. I have deliberated and gone through about 100 hundred Bible verses and searches trying to find the "perfect" combination of giving the glory to God and baking together in the same title. I went all the way to " The Ambrosial Appetite" and then thought twice as I realized that most people would have to look up that word and what it meant, and then miss out on orders because they lost interest. ( thank you Marylynne). So I think I finally found it.

Seven Gifts Bakeshop. That's it. I get the reference of the 7 gifts of the Holy spirit and the baking all in one. Lets face it, for some people baking is a gift. I enjoy it. It has become my one place for creativity to sneak out and express itself. Plus I love that I will get to be involved in some of the best memories of other people's lives.

I will most likely be offering a variety of cupcakes, but made in glass jars and then decorated to the distinctions of the person request. I was going to do cookies and such, and still might, but I worry about trying to ship them and not having them get destroyed.

anyhow, I hope you checkout the new store opening soon! Ill post here the link when I get it open....time to go bake some new flavor combinations and get my recipes set in stone!!!

Sweet Surrender

thanks to the input of a dear friend, I have titled my new etsy store soon to open.

" SWEET SURRENDER"

I am so excited about this opportunity, and I cant wait to get started. I made my first item today Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies. THEY ARE DIVINE! here is what I based my recipe off of DELICIOUS!!! I did do some fine tuning to the filling. I am so thankful for the Lord showing me this path when my family needs it the most. I get to combine two of my most favorite passions: BAKING AND GOD!! How does it get better than that?????

I am excited about my cupcake idea...I purchased a whole slew of 4oz glass jars to layer different flavors of cake and icing. I have fabric already picked out for the tops of the jars and several bows to adorn the front of the jar too!! They will be so cute for birthday parties, baby showers, wedding showers, or how about a WEDDING FAVOR???? with a cute little tag on it....I'M LOVING MY INSPIRATION...

My Patron Saint

Clare was a beautiful Italian noblewoman who became the Foundress of an order of nuns now called "Poor Clares." When she heard St. Francis of Assisi preach, her heart burned with a great desire to imitate Francis and to live a poor humble life for Jesus. So one evening, she ran away from home, and in a little chapel outside Assisi, gave herself to God. St. Francis cut off her hair and gave her a rough brown habit to wear, tied with a plain cord around her waist. Her parents tried in every way to make her return home, but Clare would not. St. Clare was sick and suffered great pains for many years, but she said that no pain could trouble her. So great was her joy in serving the Lord that she once exclaimed: "They say that we are too poor, but can a heart which possesses the infinite God be truly called poor?" We should remember this miracle of the Blessed Sacrament when in Church. Then we will pray with great Faith to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist: "Save me, O Lord, from every evil - of soul and body." Her feast day is August 11.
